Hobbiton

Arrive at the Shires rest driving through the rolling hills of the Matamata farming area, hundreds of sheep can be seen grazing on the farm.

Your experienced guide will take you through the movie set giving you the details of the famous locations as seen in Peter Jackson’s Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit movies.

Choose your own adventure around the cafes and attractions that are a part of one of Auckland’s oldest and most picturesque suburbs.
Take a wheel along Queens Parade to take in the spectacular city views on one side and beautiful waterfront villas on the other.
From North Head you can experience the fabulous ocean views over to Rangitoto and the islands of the Hauraki gulf, while discovering why Auckland is called the City of Sails. Or grab some fish and chips and a blanket and check out the 360-degree views from Mt Victoria – whenever possible, we will drive you up these vantage points.
